Melissa Macarthy brings it again in her drop-dead funny comedy Spy. This is movie is laugh out loud funny that will possibly have you wetting yourself in delight. Feel free from embarrassment if you do so because this movie is on par with some of the great comedies such as Fletch, Hot Fuzz, and Tropic Thunder with some of the wit of Steven Martin and the Three Amigos.
The plot of Spy is about a CIA analyst Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy), with solid field training, has spent her entire career as a desk jockey. She works hand-in-hand with Bradley Fine (Jude Law) using high-tech equipment and a hidden earpiece, Susan is the guardian Angel who helps Bradley avoid danger. However, when Bradley is assassinated by Bulgarian arms dealer Rayna Boyanov (Rose Byrne), Susann wrangles her way into her first undercover assignment tl help capture Boyanov and avenge Bradley.
The jokes have hard-hitting punch lines. McCarthy delivers her lines with definite like-ability that will make you over look her large size and see how beautiful she really is. There have been a massive amount of issues with her because of her size. McCarthy is funny, smart and confident and that is über hot. Also, as the brooding, tough and old fashion 80’s may-an is Jason Statham. He delivers his comedic lines so dead pan and strong that it just too funny that he can hold a straight face. Some of his rants were comedic gold when he is describing some of the missions he has been on.
In conclusion, if you haven’t seen it, please see it. This movie has everything and something for everyone from slapstick to witty comebacks. Melissa McCarthy is awesome. Jude Law, Rose Byrne, and Jason Statham are awesome and keeps the laughs rolling.
